Bio

 

 Gary Eleinko received his B.F.A. and M.A. in painting from Wayne State

 University.  A  life-long Detroit resident, he resides in his historic home

 in the Corkltown area, where he also tends his perennial garden, a few blocks from his studio.

 

  He has shown in many venues from the Detroit Institute of Arts, Cranbrook Art Museum,  College for Creative Studies, Marshall Fredericks Sculpture Museum, and Wayne State University, to shows in the U. P., several other states, and numerous regional galleries and locations.  His work is in the permanent collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts, WayneState University, Henry Ford Health System,  and University of Michigan, as well as private and corporate collections.

 

 He has for many years donated time and work  (including  curating and jurying exhibitions) for different art related non-profits, including the  defunct Detroit Focus Gallery, art auctions for charity, served on the Detroit Artists Market board and is presently on the  exhibition commitee of the Detroit Artists Market.
