Gary Eleinko received his B.F.A. and M.A. in painting from Wayne State
University. A life-long Detroit resident, he now resides in his historic home
in the Corkltown area, where he also tends a crammed perennial garden.
He has shown in many venues from the Detroit Institute of Arts, Cranbrook Art Museum, College for Creative Studies, and Wayne State University, to shows in the U. P., Kansas, Missouri, and numerous regional galleries and other locations.
His work is in the permanent collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts, Wayne
State University, and University of Michigan, as well as many private and corporate collections.
He has for many years donated time and work ( including curating and jurying exhibitions) for different art related non-profits, including the defunct Detroit Focus Gallery, worked with MAPP, served on the Detroit Artists Market board and is presently on the exhibition commitee of the Detroit Artists Market.
